Add a Forum

This support page describes how to add and set up a simple forum on your Myplace page where students to discuss and share ideas.


Add a Poll

This support page describes how to add a poll, or 'choice activity', to your Myplace page. Polls can also be used for nonbinding choice requests, as in the example used here.


Group self-selection

The Group self-selection tool enables you to let students sign up for groups within a class themselves.

Posting a Notice

Notices are the main way to share important information to classes. They are displayed to students via Myplace, in the Mobile App, and delivered to their Strathclyde email address.

Notices are sent using Myplace. They can be public, or target a specific class, groups, or even single students. In Myplace, recent notices are shown within the My Notices block in the Dashboard and in all classes. All notices are are also listed in the Communication Hub.

Posting an Advert

Targeted adverts are used to publicise events, initiatives, or public safety messages. They are displayed to students in the public Myplace homepage or in the Communication Hub.

Adverts are sent using Myplace. They can be public, or target a specific class or groups.

Group Self Selection with Group Choice Activity

The Group Choice Activity allows students to self-sign up for groups within a class themselves.
