Changing Video Owner

Changing Video Owner

There may be situations where the owner of a video has to be changed. This may arise due to staff leaving the University or their responsibility for a class changing. This article outlines the process for changing the owner of a video

Where a member of staff remains at the University, they will have the option to transfer ownership of their videos to another user themselves.

This is the recommended route for transferring ownership

Where content has been "orphaned" and the current owner is not able to transfer the ownership themselves, a request can be raised via the Helpdesk for the Transfer of Video Ownership.

Required Information

In order to transfer ownership the required information is necessary:

  1. Details of the video to be transferred
  2. Details of the current owner.
  3. Details of the proposed owner
  4. Head of Department (of the current owner).

If available the current owner will be approached to authorise the transfer of ownership, where they are not available, the Head of the Department will be approached to authorised the transfer.
