Adding a Reading List Resource and/or Section to your class page

This support page describes how to add a reading list resource and/or section directly into your class page.

Once you have created a reading list you can then add an individual resource/section to a class page.

  1. Capture the reading list link for the resource. Open the Share icon.

  2. When the share icon is selected you will be presented with two options. Use the recommended Moodle option.

The Permalink method is only used where you have created a reading list that is not associated with a class code or your MyPlace page ID does not match a class code. Contact the Reading List Service for help using this option.

The share button is located after the section heading

  1. Return to the MyPlace page and turn on the editing mode. 'Add an activity or resource’ and select the Reading List option.

  1. Add an activity name relevant to the Resource or Section, e.g. “Week 3 Reading” for a link to a Section.
Paste the link into the Tool URL field. Save and return to class. The relevant section will now display with all other parts of the reading list collapsed. When a citation link is added the detailed view of the citation is presented.
