Atto Seacow

The Atto Seacow is an experimental plugin that integrates SEACOW with the Moodle Atto editor. As Moodle is deprecating the Atto editor the plugin is now obsolete and it will be removed.

Deprecation roadmap

The Myplace team will remove the plugin in June 2024.

What does this mean?

Myplace users will not be impacted by the deprecation.

The plugin was introduced as an experimental feature but never released to the public as the risks associated with it would outweigh the benefits.

Moodle is now in the process of deprecating the Atto editor in favour of TinyMCE; the team has no plans of developing a plugin for the new editor to introduce the functionality in the future.

Accessibility

A number of accessibility issues were reported after testing. As the plugin is obsolete and not in use, these will not be addressed.
