Manually updating student programme site ID

 

This is the procedure to be followed to bulk assign a programme ID to the students in case this is not automatically assigned by the integration.

 

  • Go to Site Administration > Users > Bulk users actions

  • Click on "Show more filters" to expand the available filters

  • Set "User profile fields" to "Programme Site ID" > "isn't defined

  • Set "Class role" to "Student"  and set the Category for the Programme collection or type in the Programme name (e.g. Strathclyde MBA Programme)

  • Click on "add filter"

  • A list of matching users will be shown

  • Select "Add all users to selection"

  • Select "Download"

  • Download the export file 

  • Open the export file and remove all unused columns leaving only "id", "username", email", "field_programmesite_id"

  • Add the programme ID value for all students (e.g. 45 )

  • Go to Site Administration > Users > Accounts click on "Upload users"

  • Import the file

  • Set "Upload type" to update existing users only

  • Set "Existing user details" to override with the file

  • Set everything else to NO

  • Upload users
