Before you start
Before starting Myplace Support will require the following information at minimum:
Owner - Department / Faculty / Team that owns the programmes (should be an identifiable organisational unit from University Hierarchy).
Programmes under consideration for hosting under “IFM” style, including:
Programme Names
Programme Codes
Development Staff Details - These are users who will need access to create the content.
Site Creation Process
At present creation of sites for Programmes and Modules is done by Myplace Support.
Content for sites can be prepared via the Create A Site option using the Personal site option.
Once content is complete, it can be imported to the final location for the programme / module.
Student Account Creation
All student accounts are created automatically, and are only created for students that:
are in or past the Valid To Register state on the student record
Staff Account Creation
All users will require a University of Strathclyde set of credentials, including external staff who may be contributing (these staff can be issued a Temporary IT Access set of credentials or issued via supplementary payroll).
Staff with named formal responsibilities
These are allocated via PEGASUS Roles & Responsibilities and their accounts will be automatically created, providing there is at least 1 enrolment method linking a site to a Programme or Module code.
Staff without named formal responsibilities
Staff who are not allocated via PEGASUS Roles & Responsibilities must be provisioned manually by Myplace Support.
This may include course designers and staff who will support sites for a Programme Collection, Department or Faculty.
