1) To start this training session you will need to create a personal site. We are going to create a class with 1 assignment, 4 quizzes and a grade item for an Exam grade.
2) Next lets add an assignment to topic 1 of the blank class.
For the purposes of this training session we don't need to worry about any of the assignment settings but you will need to click the 'opt out' box on the 'Strathclyde assessment and feedback policy' in order to save the assignment.
3) Next create a quiz in topic 2. Again, we don't need to worry about changing any settings, just give it a title and save.
4) Duplicate your quiz 3 times by clicking 'Edit' and choosing 'Duplicate' from the dropdown then repeating this process twice more.
You can edit the titles of your quizzes quickly by using the 
button highlighted in the image.
5) Finally we are going to create an 'Exam' grade item. To do this we'll need to go into the Gradebook setup which you can find in the administration block.
6) Scroll to the bottom of the page and click 'Add grade item'
7) Name your Grade item 'EXAM' and save changes.
Your Gradebook setup should now look like the image shown below.
