In a minority of cases, Turnitin is showing an error message "Turnitin has returned an error with your submission: The file failed to upload.".

Issue

We are currently seeing an issue with the Turnitin plagiarism checker, where students are uploading assignments and receiving the error "Turnitin has returned an error with your submission: The file failed to upload."

Please be assured that as long as your submission has the green box saying "Submitted for grading" your file has definitely uploaded to Myplace and your lecturer will be able to view and mark it.

The error only means that there has been a delay in sending your assignment to Turnitin for checking. In this case, the submission will be resent to Turnitin within 24 hours and there is no need to resubmit your work.
