Marks return upload fails with 'Coding error detected...'
Marks return upload fails with 'Coding error detected, it must be fixed by a programmer: Unknown file type'
Problem
When uploading a marks return spreadsheet to the system, the upload fails with the above error.
Solution
The spreadsheet contains an error in the column headings 'registrationno', 'mark', 'markcode'. The two most common are:
- An uppercase character - 'Registrationno'
- Additional whitespace - 'registration no'. NB this will be very hard to spot if it comes after the word!
