This article refers to how you can access your grades once they have been released by your tutor through the Gradebook.

Once an assignment has been marked, the grade for that assignment can be viewed in the Gradebook. The Gradebook has the ability to show grades from various assignment and produce an overall grade. This allows you to see how your progression is going throughout this class

To access your grades you can click on the Grades link in the settings block under the Course Administration section, as shown below: 

Below is an example of what a typical Gradebook layout would look like: 

  1. This shows the various assignments that have been uploaded for this particular class. From this you can see the grade and overall percentage of each
  2. The category total shows the average value of the two assignments together, giving a specific weighting in each. Depending on the class, weightings vary.  The total assignment grade might weigh less than the total exam grade when it comes to declaring your final class total, please keep this in mind when viewing your grades
  3. This shows the final grade that you have achieved for your class, taking into consideration every factor including the various assignments and exam totals.
