Grace Periods

The University recognises that there are circumstances that may affect a students ability to submit exactly by the due date.

In these circumstances students may elect to make use of a 4 hour "grace period" after the Due Date.

Students must declare they are wishing to take advantage of this offer when they are making their submission and indicate their reason. This will also be available through the submissions page in Myplace (image needed)

Info
However staff can revoke the grace period if they choose to.

Late Submission History

Staff will also be able to view students late submission across other classes, if necessary. This is to adhere to the late submissions policy that staff should track students who are persistently late with coursework.

Requesting an Extension

If you need to make an extension request, you can now do it through Myplace, see page link here to extension requests.

Note

The grace period will be automatically applied to your submission.  However, if it becomes apparent that the grace period has been misused, a member of staff may revoke it and apply the appropriate late penalty.
