Myplace is the online learning environment for the University of Strathclyde. It is based on the Moodle Virtual Learning Environment (VLE) but has been adapted to meet the needs of users at the University of Strathclyde. As a student you will be given access to Myplace as part of your teaching and learning experience at the University. You will be expected to comply with the University’s regulations and policies governing the use of computing facilities and resources which are set out within this document. As a user of Myplace your personal data will be processed for the purpose of teaching and learning. Your personal data including information relating to usage and course information will be logged within the system. This information along with other personal data e.g. name, class, course code etc. will be accessible to staff associated with your studies to allow them to identify you and to review your participation, progress and completion of your course. Limited personal data related to your user profile may be viewable by other students on your course/programme e.g. name, profile image and discussion messages/content will be archived.
