VLE activity has been shown to be the most popular type of data to be collected with 12/19 institutions (63%) using it for either the purposes of learning analytics or rudimentary engagement monitoring. Each VLE and LA tool has their own set of pros and cons depending on the data the institution wants to collect. The following tables outline the VLE and LA Tool that each institution uses.
