DaVinci Resolve (Multiple Platforms)
This has been recommended by a member of staff at the University, DaVinci Resolve (https://www.blackmagicdesign.com/uk/products/davinciresolve/) as a very powerful and free editing option (but this would appear to be at the higher end of the spectrum)
