2. Recording "Talking Head" Video

After consulting the guidance all staff support requests should be directed to learning-technologies@strath.ac.uk, Extension 3770 (0141 548 3770 off-campus).


Note: all emergency video content is temporary and will be re-recorded in the future.



This guide is for recording directly to camera without the use of additional visuals such as PowerPoint.

To record videos on a Windows 10 PC use the ‘Camera’ App that can be found by using the search bar:

When the package opens, make sure you have selected the video option:

At the start of your session, click on the settings cog in the top left hand corner:

Make sure the video quality is set to the highest possible (1080p 16:9 30 fps):

To start your recording click on the white camera button on the right hand side of screen.

When recording pressing the same button again will end the recording.

To find your video files. Go to This PC > Pictures > Camera roll.

The PC will save them with a generic name, but get in the practice of opening the folder renaming the file with the video name after each recording.
