Embedding your own videos into Myplace from the Learning and Teaching Video Repository (using Microsoft Stream On Sharepoint)
You can only use these steps to embed videos that you have uploaded to the LTVR.
Navigate to the Learning & Teaching Video Repository on SharePoint (https://strath.sharepoint.com/sites/ltvideo ) and select “My Videos”.
From there select the open the relevant video in Microsoft Stream by clicking on the hyperlink. The video will automatically open in Stream.
Once the video is open drop down the menu at the top of the page and select “embed”.
A menu will open on the right-hand side of the page with the embed code. Select “copy embed code” at the bottom of the page.
In MyPlace navigate to the location where you want the video to appear - usually this would be a MyPlace Label or Page resource. (From your class page, turn editing on and then click on Add an activity or resource to access these options).
These options will have a MyPlace text editor displayed when you edit the content:
In the Label text (Label option) or Page content (Page option) text editor, click in the Expand icon to display the full tool bar then the html icon.
Place your cursor where you want the video to appear and paste the HTML code that has already been copied
Click on Save and display. You should see the video you have just embedded with the option to view the transcript.
