Data Protection Considerations
Formal Roles
Formal roles are defined in PEGASUS and can only be updated via the PEGASUS Roles and Responsibilities application.
All of the formal roles are constrained by Student Business / HR rules, and may not be assignable if a particular user doesn't satisfy those rules.
Formal roles and academic contracts
Staff who are no longer formally employed on academic contracts cannot hold formal roles on classes.

Faculty / Departmental Administrator | This role affords the same capabilities as the Class Administrator role, but may be assigned at a category level. Typical uses are where a member of staff has responsibility for a large number of modules and it would be overly burdensome to allocate them to each module individually. |
Faculty / Departmental Learning Technology Advisor | This role is only assignable at category level, and is for staff with a responsibility to support Learning Technology over a wide range of modules (e.g. a department). This role may also afford access to additional tools not normally available to staff. |
Learning Technology Advisor | This role is only available to Myplace Support Staff. |
