Rubrics are mainly recommended for assignments with restricted marking (Type B) schema due to their limitations. They can be useful for large classes as well for standardising approach from multiple markers. However, a Marking Guide is often more appropriate marking tool. Also ensure your rubric is detailed enough for the specific task to give students good feedback.
